On Nov. 23, officers with the Winder Police Department were dispatched to the area behind the Bottle Shop in reference to a suspicious person in the area.
When officers arrived at the scene they spoke with Nicholas Williams who claimed he was just “walking his girl home”.
Officers continued to check the area and noticed a Blue Jeep stop at the intersection and the driver get into the back seat, while Williams got into the rear of the vehicle.
After pulling the car over, officers removed the driver James Gunter from the vehicle and asked if it could be searched.
Gunter denied consent, stating it was not his car.
After searching Williams, officers found a plastic bag in his pants with a green leafy substance inside.
Upon further inspection of the vehicle officers found a glass pipe with marijuana residue in it, and two marijuana grinders inside one of the subject’s purse.
Officers found another pipe inside the shoe of the driver, James Gunter.
All passengers were arrested for possession of drug related objects and Williams was arrested for possession of marijuana.
