A former Winder youth minister is now facing multiple charges in connection to an alleged relationship while serving as a youth minister at a Walton County church.
Brian Richard Gray, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, now faces charges of, four counts of sexual battery, two count of aggravated sexual battery, 17 counts of statutory rape, 17 counts of child molestation, 17 counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes and one count of sodomy.
Gray recently waived extradition from Alabama where police were holding him after he fled Georgia.
Authorities plan to continue the investigation and conduct additional interviews. Initially Gray was charged with having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl, but now it is believed that other juvenile females may have also been at risk. Gray remains in custody and will be transported back to Oconee County.
