Officers of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a man crawling down Patrick Mill Road.

Upon arrival officers discovered a young man crawling on the side of the street.

After being asked what he was doing the young man claimed he had lost his knife and said that he was “drunk”.

He also claimed he was crawling to his friend’s house past the bar.

After being asked his age, the subject said he was 19, but was actually 20.

The subject was patted down, and an officer found what the man claimed was “spice” he bought in Braselton.

The man was placed under arrests for underage consumption.

How strange it is that this young man can fight and die for his government, which disallows him the right to consume alcoholic beverages. But what the heck, this same government wants to disallow our God given Right to Keep and Bear Arms against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Ed, obviously he's not old enough to handle alchohol. You seen many 18 year-olds that can?

On the other hand, they are prime age for military service. Youthfulness is wonderful for reactions, quickness, speed, and strength. And you give them direction and supervised guidance and they'll perform. Not so much for drinking adult beverages.

Red Ryder, he is old enough to handle a M-16 rifle, a 50 caliber machine gun or drive a tank, in defense of his country's government, 5,000 miles away from his homeland, but can't consume alcohol? I can remember the time when a decent cop would arrange to have this young man taken home with no charges, because he had done no harm to anyone but himself, which he has the right to do of his own volition. After all, this is America, home of the not so free and not very brave at all, in my humble opinion. And, by the way, I don't drink, smoke
or do illegal drugs. I am also unalterably opposed to the unconstitutional "War on Drugs."

Well, obviously this man isn't old enough to know how to control his drinking if he is crawling on the side of a busy rd. like Patrick Mill drunk.

I look at it as if they are keeping him safe so he doesn't get run over by someone (me included) not expecting a grown man to be crawling on the side of the road.
