Every year millions of Americans go to their local food market to get that lovely turkey for Thanksgiving.
Well, what if turkey just doesn’t sound that good this year? Why is it taboo to have other main sources of protein on the dining room table?
I completely respect and understand the tradition of having turkey for Thanksgiving, but to be honest I don’t find it that appealing. While I do love my grandmother’s turkey, and the turkey sandwiches that follow, I am torn because there are so many other great options out there for a main dish.
Let us examine the positive aspects of eating this great bird.

Good observations Matt, but as for me and my house are concerned, I think America has already abandoned far too many of its traditions. You know, the stuff what brung us. Now, as to the turkey not being very tasteful; you aint seen tasteful until you taste my smoked, or baked turkey.

I completely agree. I absolutely hate the taste of turkey and will not serve it at my table. Thanksgiving, Christmas... whatever, I will not serve it.
