A Winder youth minister was arrested in Alabama Tuesday morning, accused of having sex with a 15-year-old Oconee County girl over the course of several months.
Brian Richard Gray, 32, of Langdon Park Court in Winder, was arrested and is being held by Notasulga, Ala., city police, according to Oconee Sheriff Scott Berry. Gray, who will be brought back to Georgia soon, is charged with child molestation, statutory rape and burglary.
Notasulga is about 30 miles northeast of Montgomery. Gray has family in Alabama, Berry said. He did not know when Gray left, but he believed Gray knew authorities were investigating these allegations.
Gray was a youth minister at a church near Monroe.
The Barrow Journal will have more information as this investigation continues.
