Two women became crime victims while attending a funeral last week.
The women were inside Smith Funeral Home for a mid-morning service when their vehicles were forcibly entered.
The first victim said nothing was taken out of her vehicle, but her front passenger side window was shattered. The victim estimated it would cost approximately $300 to repair the damage.
The second victim advised that her driver’s side window had been shattered. The thief or thieves took the woman’s purse which had been left on the front seat of the vehicle. The purse contained the woman’s driver’s license and several checkbooks.
Both incidents are believed to have occurred between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m.
