FBI seeks former Winder resident

Reports say Roberts was dating the girl’s 31-year-old mother for just a few months when the three disappeared from Las Vegas on Labor Day weekend of 2010.

Reports indicated a hunter found the skeletal remains in October in a wooded area near Harrisonburg, La. and they were identified as those of Lexis Roberts. The girl had been shot multiple times with ammunition similar to that Sanders bought at a Las Vegas Walmart.

Sanders once lived in Winder and stands 5-8, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes. He is missing his upper teeth and has only two lower teeth. He has a tattoo on his chest and a scar on his stomach. He also known by the nickname "Spider." He has also used the last name “Booth” in the past.

He was last seen driving a silver 2001 Kia Spectra with damage on the passenger side doors. The car was seen on camera at a checkpoint in the south entrance of the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

Sanders’ family had him declared legally dead in 1994 after they hadn’t heard from him in seven years. He was seen on surveillance cameras in a Las Vegas Walmart, however.

Currently, Sanders has only been charged with federal kidnapping, however, officials do want to question him in what happened in connection with her death and to locate the child’s mother, Suellen.
