The Town of Carl approved its Fiscal Year 2011 budget Thursday night, breaking even on revenue and expenses.
The town expects to receive $60,000 in the coming year and expects to spend the same.
The main expense comes from paying employees, which totals $22,706. Other major expenses in the town include street lights, $4,885; legal fees, $4,200; and maintaining the library, $2,500.

$22,706 in salaries??? We do not need a city clerk three days a week. Surely there can't be that much work. On the days she is supposedly at work the are many times when there is no car parked in front of the city hall. Maybe the hours need to be cut. No garbage pickup means no charter doesn't it?
