Winder man shows up for court with drugs

Patrick Hilton Edwards III, 23, of 900 Dogwood Trail in Winder, arrived for Auburn city court on Oct. 13. As Edwards passed through security, an officer noticed a plastic baggie visible in Edwards’ pants pocket.

When the officer asked Edwards what was inside the baggie, Edwards reportedly became nervous and began to shake.

Upon questioning, Edwards said the pills were Lortabs and that he had a prescription for them. Another officer took Edwards to the patrol room and told him to call the doctor that prescribed the pills. At that point, Edwards confessed that he did not have a prescription and had obtained the pills from his cousin.

Edwards was charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic and for having pills outside their original container.

•Tiffani Ann Brown, 31, 407 Rock Forge Road, Jefferson, window tint violation and possession of methamphetamine.

•Tommy Aubrey Goodwin, 61, 1251 Halter Lane, Lithonia, VGCSA and failure to maintain lane.

•Ashley Robin Snay, 18, 314 Wyngate Road, Auburn, disorderly conduct.

•Samuel Micah Sellers, 18, 1306 Smokerise Lane, Auburn, probation violation.
