Winder Mayor Chip Thompson has declared Friday, Oct. 15 as “Pink Friday” in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life Committee in Barrow County will be delivering pink bows on that day to Winder businesses. Relay teams from 2010 will also receive bows.
Businesses and churches in the Auburn, Statham or Bethlehem area that would like to receive a bow should contact Beverly Jackson at 770-867-2948 or Victoria Patrick at 770-307-7956 (email@example.com).
Those receiving bows are asked to keep them on display until November 1.
