The Winder Police Department received five complaints of vehicle break-ins during the past week.
Incidents of entering an auto with the intent to commit a theft or felony were reported at locations on Fairview Court, Jessie Street, West Midland Avenue and twice on North 5th Avenue. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Winder Police Department also investigated the following incidents over the past week:
• identity theft at E. Wright Street.
• simple battery at Marion Lay Street.
• a report of burglary and criminal damage to property on East May Street. An arrest has been made.
• battery and cruelty to children on Charles Court.
• theft by receiving stolen property at Williams Street and Williams Court.
• criminal trespass at Woodlawn Avenue.
• criminal trespass, cruelty to children and simple battery on Marion Lay Street.
• financial transaction card theft reported at North Broad Street.
• theft by taking at S. Broad Street.
• terroristic threats reported at North Broad Street.
• theft by taking on North 5th Avenue.
• theft by taking on North Broad Street.
• entry upon property on Hamilton Avenue.
• theft by taking on W. Midland Avenue.
• criminal damage to property reported at North Broad Street.
• criminal damage to property on Monroe Highway.
• theft by taking on 2nd Street.
• criminal trespass on McElroy Street.
• stalking reported at North Broad Street.
• battery on North Broad Street.
• shoplifting on East May Street. An arrest has been made.
• theft of lost or mislaid property on East Broad Street.
• deposit Account Fraud and theft by taking on Overlook Drive.
• criminal damage to property on Hwy. 81.
• possession of marijuana on North Jackson Street. An arrest has been made.
• terroristic threats on 240 Dreamland Circle.
• battery and violation of a family violence order at 255 Elks Street. An arrest was made.
• burglary and theft by taking on S. Broad Street.
• simple assault and unruly child on E. Wright Street. An arrest was made.
• gas drive off on West May Street.
• harassing phone calls on Nancy Street.
• aggravated assault and cruelty to animals on East Wright Street.
• shoplifting on North Broad Street. An arrest has been made.
