Barrow County Emergency Services will hold a Citizen Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“We are always thankful to the citizens of Barrow County for their support of our department,” said interim chief John Skinner. “So this day is to show our appreciation by not only having an open house at our new headquarters but by having demonstrations and information for the citizens we protect.”
The Citizen Appreciation Day will be held at the department’s headquarters located at 222 Pleasant Hill Church Road. Demonstrations will include ladder truck operations, a 911 demonstration and a “Jaws of Life” demonstration. Several businesses have donated refreshments to be served at the event.
