Two men were arrested for shoplifting after stealing meat and Kool-Aid from an Auburn grocery store.
Robert Clay Coburn Jr., 18, and Shawn Robert Anderson, 18, both of 316 Carter Road in Auburn, were detained by store personnel on Oct. 1 after an employee witnessed the men conceal a package of luncheon meat and several packages of Kool-Aid inside their clothing. Before attempting to leave the store, the men purchased a frozen pizza, but made no attempt to pay for the hidden food items.
The responding officer searched the two men and found several more packets of Kool-Aid concealed in their clothing. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $13.69.
Both men were transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

•Dustin Michael Dye, 21, 1599 Summit Ridge Road, Auburn, driving while license suspended.
•Luis Humberto Vila-Rosa, age unlisted, 4352 Mill Farm Lane, Buford, driving while license suspended.
•Jimmy Martin Cline, 41, 338 Wages Road, Auburn, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
•Virginia Lee Cline, 48, 338 Wages Road, Auburn, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, possession of amphetamine and drugs to be kept in original container.
•Mark Dewayne Mathis, 40, 1614 Alcovy Road, Dacula, failure to appear.
•Benny Lewis Delay Jr., 41, 175 Buena Vista Street, Winder, failure to appear.
Incidents investigated by Auburn Police during the past week include:
•abandoned vehicle on Hwy. 8. A pickup truck which had been left unattended for three days at the entrance to a construction site was impounded.
•burglary on Wages Road. A Toro push mower valued at $150 and a Rigid air compressor valued at $250 were reported stolen. The items had been stored in a shed on the victim’s property. Several hand tools were also removed from the victim’s back porch.
•shoplifting on Atlanta Highway. Two juvenile females, ages 15 and 16, were charged with shoplifting after stealing beer and candy from Ingles.
