Mysterious ‘Bubba’ starts fight
A rowdy man known only as “Bubba” caused a disturbance at a Creekwood Court home on Sept. 19.
Witnesses said “Bubba” picked a fight with the homeowner and struck him in the mouth. The homeowner said Bubba got drunk and “began to fight everybody.”
After Bubba punched the homeowner, another man restrained Bubba until he calmed down.
Bubba was gone by the time deputies arrived.
None of the parties wished to press charges against Bubba and all claimed not to know Bubba’s real name or where he lived.
Blue vehicles following woman
A woman called the Sheriff’s Office to report that she was being followed by several blue vehicles.
The woman said the vehicles, which include a Dodge and a Jeep, have been following her for the past several weeks. The woman advised that she is currently going through a divorce, but does not believe her soonto- be ex-husband is having her followed.
The woman also said a man in a blue truck took a photo of her while she was mowing her grass. The woman said the man used his cell phone to take several pictures of her. According to the woman, the male left the scene when she approached him and asked him what he was doing.
The woman was unable to provide tag numbers for any of the suspicious blue vehicles.
Car topped with cake icing and feces
A Winder woman called the Sheriff’s Office after discovering her vehicle had been covered with cake icing and dog feces.
The 2002 Ford Mustang is used by the woman’s teenage son. The son advised that he thinks the car decorating was nothing more than a prank. The woman said she wanted a report “just in case.”
The deputy noticed cake icing splattered in several places and saw dog feces on the windshield.
After photographing the vehicle, the deputy advised the woman to wash the car before the cake icing damaged the paint.
Three high speed drivers arrested on Hwy. 316
Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested three people for traveling in excess of 100 mph on Hwy. 316 eastbound near Craft Road.
On Sept. 15, Reid Garrett McCollum, 18, of 490 Barnett Shoals Road in Athens, was charged with reckless driving and speeding after a deputy clocked him traveling 101 mph.
When the deputy asked McCollum if he knew how fast he was going, McCollum replied “about 100.”
McCollum said he was trying to “make good time” getting home. He was transported to jail and his 1990 Porsche 944 was impounded.
Two days later, a deputy nabbed another lead footed motorist.
Dwayne Charles Kearns Jr., 19, of 5155 Hidden Branches Circle in Dunwoody, was charged with reckless driving and speeding after a deputy clocked him traveling 103 mph on Hwy. 316 eastbound.
The deputy was able to catch up with the vehicle at McNutt Creek Road in Oconee County. When asked why he was driving 103 mph, Kearns said he did not realize he was driving that fast.
He was arrested and his gray Ford Mustang impounded.
That same day, Heather Renee Doyle, 26, of 200 Beech Creek Circle in Winder, was arrested for DUI, speeding, reckless driving and open container after she was stopped for traveling 106 mph on Hwy. 316 eastbound near Craft Road.
When asked why she was driving so fast, Doyle said she thought she had been going about 75 mph.
The deputy noticed that Doyle’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot. Upon questioning, Doyle admitted having four beers and taking antidepressant medication. Doyle showed the deputy the prescription bottle which had a warning label advising against using alcohol while taking the medication.
During the impound inventory of Doyle’s Ford Thunderbird, the deputy located six open beer cans.
‘Super speeder’ nabbed on Hwy. 53
A woman whose license had been suspended for violating Georgia’s “Super speeder” law was arrested after being stopped for speeding on Hwy. 53.
Pamela Ivie, 41, of 380 Cheek Road in Monroe, was stopped for traveling 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.
When asked why she was speeding, Ivie said she was trying to get home because her daughter was cooking dinner and did not know how.
A check of Ivie’s license showed it had been suspended on Sept. 4 for a super speeder violation. Ivie said she had not received notification that her license had been suspended.
Ivie was taken into custody and charged with speeding and driving while license suspended.
Water, electricity stolen from unoccupied home
A man renovating a house in Bethlehem discovered that someone had been stealing electricity and water from the residence.
The homeowner was on his way to work when he passed by the house and noticed an orange extension cord running out the window of the vacant home to a neighboring residence.
When the homeowner stopped to investigate, a white male came outside of the neighboring residence and asked him not to call authorities.
As the homeowner was speaking to a 911 dispatcher, he saw a female leave the neighboring residence after loading several items into a car. The white male also left before deputies arrived to investigate.
The homeowner said his house had been broken into several times and that the thief had also been stealing water.
Deputies discovered an open door at the suspect’s house. During a check of the residence, deputies discovered the suspect’s home had no water, electricity or other utilities.
The case remains under investigation.

I must ask, Do you write stories like the one with the Icing and Feces with tears in your eyes from laughing, because I do when reading them. Keeping coming it does break up the news abit.

I wonder where these deputies go to basic mandate ? They arrested her for driving suspended, but she was not served ! If your license is suspended, you must be served unless it's for DUI or drug offense since your offense was taken in court. If you fail to appear, you must be served and not arrested.
