Bogart man dies in traffic collision
A Bogart man is dead after a Thursday morning traffic accident on Atlanta Highway in Clarke County.
Walter Stephen Sonne, 91, was traveling westbound on Atlanta Highway just before 8 a.m. on Sept. 9 when he turned into the path of a FedEx truck driven by Calvin Charles Muhaw of Monroe.
Sonne was attempting to turn into a car dealership when the accident occurred. He died at the scene.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating the accident. No charges have been filed.
