Clyde Bolton will host a book signing for his latest book, Hadacol Days, at the Statham Library from 12 – 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17.
Hadacol Days is Bolton’s 18th book and is a memoir of his boyhood in Statham. He has written 12 works of nonfiction and six novels.
Three of the novels,
Water Oaks, Ivy and
The Lost Sunshine, are set in the fictional Georgia town of “Hempstead” for which Statham is the model. Bolton lived briefly in Statham before moving to Alabama, where he began a 46-year career as a newspaper reporter, editor and columnist.
