A woman incarcerated in Gwinnett County is facing additional charges after making several threatening calls to her son.
The woman, who was arrested by Gwinnett County Police on charges of disorderly conduct, was taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center on Aug. 27. While jailed, the woman made several calls to her son in which she threatened to beat him and his girlfriend.
The son played one of the threatening messages for Auburn Police officers. While an officer was gathering information for the report, the mother called her son several times. The son asked his mother to stop calling, but she continued.
The son’s girlfriend told officers she feared for her safety due to the nature of the threats. The son further advised that his mother is mentally ill and has a violent history. All parties share an Auburn residence.
