The town of Carl is considering the addition of a threeway stop sign prior to the opening of what may become one of Barrow County’s biggest industrial employers.
Schutz Container Systems, Inc., plans to build its new 600,000-square-foot- plastic molding plant in Carl. The town council is concerned it may need the additional signage at East Avenue to avoid accidents.
The plant is expected to bring several hundred jobs to the county, however, construction may not begin until 2011.
The plant manufactures bulk containers, plastic drums and steel drums.
No action was taken.
