A Bethlehem man was arrested Saturday on charges of first degree cruelty to children, public indecency and solicitation of sodomy.
The charges stem from a July 20 incident in which Yancy Anthony Manning, 31, of 1480 Sedgefield Trail in Bethlehem, allegedly exposed himself and solicited sex from a juvenile female.
According to the victim, she and two friends were walking on Tanner’s Bridge Circle when Manning pulled alongside them and asked if they wanted a ride.
When the victim said no, Manning reportedly asked her to come closer. The juvenile complied and approached Manning’s vehicle.
According to the juvenile, Manning then exposed himself and asked her to perform oral sex on him.
The juvenile ran home and told her father who then called 911. A lookout was issued for Manning’s vehicle, but he was not located that day.
The case was assigned to an investigator and warrants were later obtained for Manning’s arrest.
