Statham Police investigating Friday fight on school bus

The Statham Police Department is currently investigating a fight which took place Friday, August 13 on a Barrow County school bus.

The bus was reportedly carrying students from Winder Barrow Middle School when the fight erupted.

Cpl. Buddy Hardigree said the scuffle involved two students. One of the students hit his head during the altercation. The caregiver for that student called an ambulance to the scene as a precaution, Hardigree said. The child was not seriously injured.

Hardigree said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Charges have not yet been filed.

....and last year an 11 year old student attacked a bus driver. Then two years ago a Barrow County School bus was shot at.....gee, I wonder why MY kids go to a decent school outside of our county!

I agree with Robert.My child never did ride the buses in barrow county!!! never know if they would come home safe!.. they was a car rider all while they was in school
