An inebriated Auburn woman was arrested for DUI after a July 24 car accident.
Tracey Ann Luttgens, 37, of 1226 Cabot’s Drive in Auburn, was traveling in the area of Kilcrease Road and Browns Bridge Road just after midnight when she crashed her 1995 Mercury Cougar.
When police arrived, the vehicle was turned sideways across the road blocking one lane of traffic.
Upon speaking with Luttgens, the officer noticed a faint odor of alcoholic beverage. When he asked Luttgens if she had consumed any alcohol that evening, Luttgens admitted having a couple of glasses of wine prior to the accident.
The officer asked for clarification regarding how many glasses of wine Luttgens had consumed. Luttgens replied that she had “a few” but had not had anything to eat all day.
Luttgens agreed to undergo field sobriety testing and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Luttgens was placed under arrest and transported to the Auburn Police department for the state administered breath test. The results indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .147. The legal limit is .08.
Luttgens was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane. Other recent arrests by Auburn Police include:
