Suicide investigated by Winder Police

Winder Police are currently investigating the death of a 59-year-old white male whose body was discovered this morning on the property of Barrow Regional Medical Center.

The man, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of kin, died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head. A gun was found next to the body.

Police were called to the hospital just before noon. Investigators with the Winder Police Department and Barrow County Coroner’s Office processed the scene.

According to Lt. Frank Farr, foul play is not suspected.
