Party ends in numerous arrests, citations

Winder police were called to an Aberdeen Way home after a caller advised that minors were drinking at a party.

When police arrived, several of the partygoers fled the scene, but authorities were able to detain 31 subjects.

Officers at the scene noticed dozens of empty and partially empty beer cans throughout the residence.

When police asked to speak with the homeowner, they learned that the homeowners were out of town and the homeowners’ 18-year-old daughter was passed out in an upstairs bedroom. Police were unable to make contact with either parent.

Police administered a portable breathalyzer test to the 31 party guests who ranged in age from 16 to 20. Of the 31, 28 tested positive for alcohol.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested all the 17 to 20 year old subjects who tested positive on charges of underage consumption of alcohol. Those taken into custody were:

• Christopher Webb, 18, 42 Mulberry Road, Winder.

• Danielle Ventry, 17, 712 Mallard Drive, Winder.

• Devaughn Kilgore, 18, 925 Dowing Drive, Bethlehem.

• Eric Rivas, 17, 746 Mulberry Road, Winder.

• Erin Lasichak, 20, 271 Griffith Street, Winder.

• Gabrielle Bulkoski, 17, 194 Carter Road, Auburn.

• Hillary Lunsford, 18, 308 Crosswalk Drive, Auburn.

• Jeff Haney, 19, 345 Oakdale Drive, Auburn.

• Jonathan Bramlett, 18, 962 Dee Kennedy Road, Auburn.

• Joseph Lotspeich, 18, 839 Kendall Park Drive, Winder.

• Katilyn Medlom, 18, 903 McKendree Drive, Bethlehem.

• Lahn Bryant, 17, 935 Vikings Drive, Winder.

• Martha Rodriguez, 18, 491 Twelve Oaks Drive, Winder.

• Michelle Petcu, 17, 128 Ashwood Drive, Winder.

• Rodrigo Galvis-Mayor, 18, 851 Kendall Park Drive, Winder.

• Ryan Overstreet, 20, 1013 Bell Road, Winder.

• Salina Steward, 17, 685 Choctaw Ridge, Winder.

• Samantha Hatcher, 18, 433 Aberdeen Way, Winder.

• Taylor Carter, 18, 909 Elijah Way, Bethlehem.

• Terry Wright, 18, 207 Deer Walk Drive, Winder.

All 23 subjects were transported to the Barrow County Detention Center for booking.

Two juveniles, age 16, were transported to the Winder Police Department to be picked up by their parents. Three subjects who tested negative for alcohol were released at the scene.

Before leaving, authorities disposed of all the remaining beer. Police also recovered a small amount of marijuana which was taken to the police department and destroyed.
