The Barrow County Superior Court recently sentenced the following people. Those charged and their sentences are listed below. Charges listed as nolle prosequi are those in which the prosecutor or plaintiff indicated they would not proceed with the case. In criminal cases, a disposition of nolle prosequi may be entered when evidence proves innocence or charges cannot otherwise be proved.
The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on July 1, 2010 with Superior Court Judge T. Penn McWhorter presiding:
• Carl Gregory Stroud, DUI, speeding and driving without license on person: 12 months confinement.
• Robert Milton Eidson, DUI and speeding: 12 months probation less 24 hours confinement, 40 hours of community service and a $1,150 fine.
• Andrea Nicole Johnson, criminal trespass: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Edward Eugene White Jr., contributing to the unruliness of a minor: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Robert Shawn Williamson, criminal trespass: 12 months probation and a $500 fine. Stalking: nolle prosequi.
• Charles Devon Slaveen, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation and a $500 fine. Affray: nolle prosequi.
• Raymond Beal Morris, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Matthew Thomas Ulrich, affray: 12 months probation and a $300 fine.
• Leah Whitney Shepley, theft by shoplifting: 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service and a $500 fine. Drugs to be kept in original container: nolle prosequi.
• Narada Lashon Starks, possession of marijuana: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Timothy Mitchell Jones, simple battery: 12 months probation and a $500 fine. Family violence battery and third degree cruelty to children: nolle prosequi.
• Matthew Allen Strickland, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Holly Ann Smith, loitering and prowling: 12 months probation less 14 days confinement and a $500 fine.
• Michael Lee Bradford, interference with a 911 call and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana: 12 months probation and a $1,250 fine. Simple battery: nolle prosequi.
• Maurice Fulton, family violence battery: 12 months probation and a $300 fine.
• Gary Butler, simple battery: 12 months probation less 32 days imprisonment.
• Michelle Hull, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Dorothy Ann Slaven, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Wayna Darlen Williams, criminal trespass: 12 months probation and a $500 fine. Theft by taking: nolle prosequi.
