Hundreds take advantage of early voting

Since early voting began on June 7, hundreds of people have cast their ballots for the July 20 primary according to Barrow County elections supervisor Katie Ferm.

As of June 30, 463 people had voted, Ferm said.

Voting is currently underway Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Barrow County Elections Office located at 233 E. Broad Street, Winder. Early voting ends July 16.

Ferm recommended voters visit the new Georgia Secretary of State web site, http://vote.ga.gov, for more information about the upcoming election. The new site allows voters to check registration, find polling locations, check on the status of absentee ballots and view sample ballots.
