Statham Police arrested five people during the past week.
Lauren Marie Daffron, 19, of 312 Paden Cove Trail in Lawrenceville, and Marcellus Mathew Pineda, 23, also of 312 Paden Cove Trail in Lawrenceville were arrested on June 26 after a traffic stop. Daffron was charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, window tint violation, drugs to be kept in original container and driving while unlicensed. Pineda is facing charges of drugs not in original container and allowing an unlicensed person to drive.
On June 24, Carlos Miranda Ramirez , 24, of 225 Lonestar Drive in Bogart was charged with driving while unlicensed after being stopped for a traffic violation on Atlanta Highway.
Two individuals were arrested for shoplifting after a June 25 incident at an Atlanta Highway business. Roger Dwayne Anglin, 51, of 1997 Broad Street in Statham, and Jace G. Bartet, 53, of 2711 Dooley Town Road in Statham, were both charged with theft by shoplifting.
Last week, police also arrested Wylie Jason McGuire, 30, of 1862 Railroad Street in Statham for probation violation.
Incidents investigated by Statham Officers include:
• domestic disturbance on McCarty Road on June 26.
• criminal trespass on Second Street on June 26.
• damage to property on Euclid Street on June 24.
Police also investigated two traffic accidents.
The first, a two-vehicle accident on June 22, occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 316 and Hwy. 211. One person was treated for injuries.
The second accident took place on June 25 in a parking lot off Atlanta Highway. Two cars were involved, but no injuries were reported.
For the week, Statham officers issued 16 citations and four warnings.
