Magical Educator Chad Crews will be performing his “Splash into Reading Extravaganza!” at the Winder Library on July 8 at 11 a.m.
The “Splash into Reading Extravaganza” is part of the library’s summer reading program which began June 5.
Crews’ program uses a combination of magic, storytelling, music and live animals to showcase several books throughout the show.
Crews has been performing educational programs for libraries and schools for several years. His “Splash into Reading Extravaganza” will include a snake or two, routines and stories involving water and other routines that coordinate with this year’s “Make a Splash” theme.
Crews encourages children to read by making sure they know he learned most of his tricks by reading books about magic. According to Crews, the magic and animal books are usually the first to be checked out after the show.
The Winder Library is located at 189 Bell View Street in Winder. For more information, call 770-867-2762.
