The property that Barrow County Commission Chairman Danny Yearwood owns inside the town of Bethlehem has been cleaned up… finally.
“He’s off the list,” announced Mayor Sandy McNab in a Memorial Day phone interview after hearing that cement blocks and an old chair had been removed from the West Star Street property.
“He got everything cleaned up,” McNab said. “I believe he’ll pass the test so we can take him off the hit list.
“Your chair is gone,” the mayor added in reference to Yearwood’s suspicion that a Barrow Journal reporter had deposited the upholstered chair on his property as a prop for an April news photograph.

Let me understand this - "However, the county chairman said Tuesday that he didn’t clean up his property and doesn’t know who did. He said he personally would have left the junk sitting there untouched for nine months." - I believe this like I believe everything else this "used car saleman" has to say. If his lips are moving, there is a very good chance he's lying. Please - Mr. Yearwood - GROW UP!!!!

I am embarrased just reading about these little tantrums by Barrow Co officials. Please act your age and show some decorum. Sheesh.

Do I understand correctly? Did Yearwood say, as chairman of the board of commissioners, that he has a piece of land to offer for sale to the couny? Interesting! I wish you would bring up your "cheap and clean" property as an option as a possible site for a new fire station, or any county facility. This is what motivated you to run for office from the beginning. It's very obvious that "what's in it for me" has always been your agenda. As for the rest of the commission, how would you like to be remembered at the most devastating leadership this county has ever known. Unless you take action now, this is very likely.
