Sentences issued in Superior Court May 26-27
The Barrow County Superior Court recently sentenced the following people. Those charged and their sentences are listed below. Charges listed as nolle prosequi are those in which the prosecutor or plaintiff indicated they would not proceed with the case. In criminal cases, a disposition of nolle prosequi may be entered when evidence proves innocence or charges cannot otherwise be proved.
The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on May 26, 2010 with Superior Court Judge Joseph Booth presiding:
• Stephen Young, theft by shoplifting: five years imprisonment.
• Alex Sheroy Brown, burglary: 15 years probation, restitution, three years confinement suspended upon 18 months of work release and a $2,000 fine. Theft by taking: nolle prosequi.
• Cody Eager, terroristic threats, criminal trespass and underage possession of alcohol: five years probation, no violent contact with victim, 90-120 days in state boot camp program, restitution and a $2,000 fine. Simple assault and disorderly conduct: nolle prosequi.
• Curtis Lamar Howard, burglary, entering auto and theft by taking: four years imprisonment, 16 years probation, restitution and a $3,000 fine. Theft by taking and criminal trespass: nolle prosequi.
• William Frank Buchanan, possession of methamphetamine: seven years probation, attend two drug classes per month and a $1,500 fine. Speeding: nolle prosequi.
• James Leonard Stokes Sr., family violence battery: one years, six months imprisonment, three years and six months probation, no violent contact with victims and a $1,500 fine. Family violence simple battery and third degree cruelty to children; nolle prosequi.
• Randall E. Thomas, theft by taking: 20 months imprisonment, eight years and four months probation, no contact with victim, restitution, attend three drug addiction meetings per month during probation period and pay a $2,000 fine.
• Brannon Harold Griffin, violation of temporary protective order: 12 months probation less 14 days confinement, no contact with victim and a $500 fine.
• William Charles Paulus, criminal trespass: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Stephen Terry Borders, violation of family violence order: 12 months probation less 20 days confinement, no contact with victim and a $500 fine.
• Brandon Scott Gerrin, criminal damage to property: pled guilty to lesser included offense of criminal trespass, 12 months probation, no violent contact with victim, restitution and a $500 fine.
• Bobby Dean Wilson, drugs to be kept in original container: 12 months probation and a $500 fine. Possession of dangerous drugs: nolle prosequi.
• Zachary Adam Ebersole, two counts of disorderly conduct: two years probation less 54 days imprisonment, no violent contact with victim and a $1,000 fine. Terroristic threats: nolle prosequi.
• Roman Lamar Hooper, striking fixed object and expired tag: two years probation less 50 days imprisonment, restitution and a $1,500 fine. Failure to maintain lane and criminal trespass: nolle prosequi.
• Cory James Slaughter, robbery and VGCSA: one year imprisonment, nine years probation, restitution and a $3,000 fine. Possession of marijuana and battery: nolle prosequi.
• Lamar Harold Starks, family violence battery and obstruction: two years probation less 20 days imprisonment, no violent contact with victim and a $1,000 fine. Family violence simple battery and criminal trespass: nolle prosequi.
• Jessica Patrice Eldridge also known as Jessica Patrice Schobak: family violence battery: five years probation, residential substance abuse treatment program, no contact with victim and a $1,000 fine. Disorderly conduct: nolle prosequi.
The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on May 27, 2010 with Superior Court Judge T. Penn McWhorter presiding:
• Broderick Kiwanecee Jones, possession of marijuana, driving without a license and giving false information to a law enforcement officer: five years probation and a $2,500 fine. Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and headlights required: nolle prosequi.
• David Thomas, family violence aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, false imprisonment, family violence simple battery, family violence battery and two counts of criminal trespass: three years imprisonment, 12 years probation, no contact with victim and a $2,500 fine. Burglary and third degree cruelty to children: nolle prosequi.
• Keith Ellis Parham, loitering or prowling: 12 months probation less four days confinement, no contact with victim and a $300 fine.
• Anthony Wayne Hickman II, theft by taking: 12 months probation, 200 hours of community service, restitution and a $1,500 fine.
• Kasey Danielle Poole, disorderly conduct: two years probation, 40 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.
• Jorge Garcia, underage possession of alcohol: six months probation, 40 hours of community service and a $300 fine.
• Nancy Jane Griffin Roberts, family violence battery: 12 months probation less seven days confinement, no violent contact with victim and a $500 fine.
• Rebecca Lynn Smith, affray and disorderly conduct: two years probation, no contact with victim and a $1,000 fine.
• Loretta Riden, family violence battery: 12 months probation, no contact with victim and a $500 fine.
• Wynona Jeane Schramke, obstruction: 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service and a $500 fine.
• Ahmed Ibrahim Alishire, two counts of battery: 12 months probation less 45 days confinement, no contact with victim and a $1,000 fine.
• Yolanda Hammond also known as Yolanda Louise Jackson: battery and theft by shoplifting: two years probation, no contact with victim, restitution and a $1,000 fine. Simple battery; nolle prosequi.
• Jeffery Alan Morris, theft by shoplifting: pled guilty to lesser included offense of criminal trespass, 23 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Xavier Tremaine Slayton, two counts of obstruction: two years probation less 44 days confinement, 40 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.
• Timothy Maurice Mayweather, obstruction: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Joshua Claude Jackson, family violence simple battery and criminal trespass: 12 months probation, restitution and a $1,000 fine. Interference with a 911 call: nolle prosequi.
• David Webb, family violence battery, family violence simple battery and family violence third degree cruelty to children: 60 days imprisonment, 12 months probation, no contact with victim and a $1,500 fine.
• Dalton Crimm, reckless driving and obstruction: two years probation, 40 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine. Reckless conduct and reckless driving: nolle prosequi.
• Stephen Young, theft by shoplifting: five years imprisonment.

• Loretta Riden, family violence battery: 12 months probation, no contact with victim and a $500 fine.
• Wynona Jeane Schramke, obstruction: 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service and a $500 fine.
• Ahmed Ibrahim Alishire, two counts of battery: 12 months probation less 45 days confinement, no contact with victim and a $1,000 fine.
• Yolanda Hammond also known as Yolanda Louise Jackson: battery and theft by shoplifting: two years probation, no contact with victim, restitution and a $1,000 fine. Simple battery; nolle prosequi.
• Jeffery Alan Morris, theft by shoplifting: pled guilty to lesser included offense of criminal trespass, 23 months probation and a $500 fine.
• Xavier Tremaine Slayton, two counts of obstruction: two years probation less 44 days confinement, 40 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.
• Timothy Maurice Mayweather, obstruction: 12 months probation and a $500 fine.
