Wife claims harassment by ex-lover
A Winder woman called the Sheriff’s Office to report a series of harassing phone calls from her ex-lover.
The woman said she and the man had been seeing each other for approximately one month. The woman explained that even though the man had been to her house on several occasions, he did not live with her due to the fact that she was still married to another man.
The woman said her husband had recently been released from jail, but was living elsewhere because he was not allowed to contact her as a condition of his bond.
After ending the relationship with her lover, the woman said the man called her over 30 times in a 48 hour period. The woman said the man threatened to contact her husband’s probation officer if she did not reconcile with him.
According to the woman, her ex-lover said he would tell her husband’s probation officer that her husband had been staying at the house and that she and her husband had slept together in violation of the husband’s bond.
The deputy made contact with the ex-lover and advised him not to call the woman again. The ex-lover assured the deputy he would not call or go to the woman’s house and would delete her number from his phone. The man added that the woman had called him 14 times and he had records to prove it.
No charges were filed.
