The Georgia Piedmont Arts Center, located at 1396 Third Avenue in Auburn, is offering three kid’s art camps this summer.
• June 14 - 18: “Nature All Around Us” for ages 6-12. Students will create a variety of 2D and 3D masterpieces, including a bird bath, paper mache animal sculpture, a larger than life 3D insect, and more. Camp fee is $100 per child and $90 per additional sibling. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The fee includes all supplies, drink and a snack. • June 21 – 25: “Art in Wonderland” for ages 6-12. This camp will help students to express their images of wonderland, using clay, watercolor, painting, recycled items and more. Camp fee is $100 per child, and $90 per additional sibling. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The fee includes all supplies, drink and a snack. • July 19 – 23: GPAC will offer a double session camp from 9 a.m. until noon, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. for ages 8 thru 13 with a maximum of 10 students. Children may attend morning, afternoon or both sessions. There will be different art experiences in each of the sessions. Cost for single session (a.m. or p.m.) is $100 per child and $90 per additional sibling. Cost for children wishing to attend double session (9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.) is $200 and $180 per additional sibling. Children attending double session should bring a sack lunch.
