Statham Police arrest two for DUI

Statham Police officers arrested two individuals for DUI and other charges during the past week.

Lafrederick Jermaine Gillespie, 34, of 175 Sir Matthews Road in Athens was arrested May 17 and charged with terroristic threats and acts, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, DUI, driving with a suspended license, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, failure to maintain lane and seatbelt violation.

On May 22, Statham Police arrested Timothy Paul Gulley, 50, of 231 Teasley Cover in Hartwell, for DUI, failure to maintain lane and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
