Award winning students from Apalachee High School will be honored on Tuesday, May 11 during the school’s honors program. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Underclassmen and seniors award recipients will receive an invitation to the event.
Prior to the awards ceremony, the school will host an open house. The open house, which celebrates ten years of AHS history, will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Barrow County residents and anyone who has been a part of the school’s history are invited to attend. Additionally, AHS personnel employed since the school’s opening will be recognized during the honors program.
As part of the event, a time capsule containing memorabilia will be sealed to be opened ten years from now.
