Joint meeting about new campus canceled

Tonight's joint meeting of the Barrow County Board of Education and the Barrow County Board of Commissioners has been canceled.

The meeting at the school system's offices was to have been about a future educational campus for a new Lanier Tech facility, a new career academy for the school system, and a new cultural arts facility and auditorium.

Schools spokesperson Lisa Leighton said the meeting was postponed in order to give the school system more time to prepare.
