While some aspiring politicians have been on the campaign trail for months, election season officially began Monday with candidate qualifying.
Locally, several commission and school board seats are up for grabs.
County commission seats in districts 4, 5 and 6 and school board seats in districts 1, 3, 4, 7 and 9 will be filled in this year’s elections.
On Monday, school board incumbents Randall Holland (district 1), Connie Wehunt (district 3), Dan Cromer (district 7) and Mark Still (district 9) qualified as Republicans. . Duwayne Anderson and Dexter Sullivan also filed papers to run for the district 7 at-large seat.
County commissioners Isaiah Berry (district 4), Billy Parks (district 5) and Ben Hendrix (district 6) qualified for the Republican primary on Monday as well.

HEEEEEEEE HAAAAWWWWWW!! we got the candidates!!!!!!! no more BS . I know they will win!I mean my dog wouldn't qualify, but if he did, he would whoop what little bit of comm we got. I think they 3 of have been neutered by the HR director? you never heard of or saw em unless you were at the meetings, and now of course why are they speaking up??????think about it!!! yep!election time....I can't wait,thanks Joe, and John, I am behind you guys all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
