Drugs discovered in suspicious vehicle

The driver of the vehicle, Jason Lee Henderson, 23, of 2704 Conifer Way in Dacula, seemed “unusually nervous,” according to the report. The officer noted that Henderson would not make eye contact and could not sit still inside the vehicle.

Henderson told the officer that he and his passenger, Kyle Wilson Henderson, 19, also of 2704 Conifer Way in Dacula, had stopped to smoke a cigarette and discuss a problem Kyle had with his girlfriend.

Due to Jason Henderson’s suspicious behavior and nervousness, the officer asked for consent to search the vehicle. Henderson said he had nothing illegal in the car and consented to the search.

During the search, officers discovered a glass pipe, a clear box containing marijuana seeds and a clear plastic bag containing a small amount of marijuana and rolling papers.

Jason and Kyle Henderson admitted the marijuana was theirs, but denied smoking any of it that day. However, field sobriety tests indicated recent marijuana use.

Both men were cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and released after calling someone to drive them home.

• Nikki Marie Johnson, 31, 2954 Winder Highway, Dacula, failure to maintain lane, DUI and child endangerment.

• Patrick Hilton Edwards, 22, 872 Georgetown Drive, Winder, probation violation.

• William Jessie Reynolds, 46, 782 City Pond Circle, Winder, VGCSA hydrocodone.
