Winder Police seek robbery suspect
Winder Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect from a Tuesday morning robbery.
The suspect, a black male, entered the lobby of the Best Western located at 177 West Athens Street at approximately 6 a.m. on April 27 and brandished a handgun.
The suspect fled the scene in a gold Ford Taurus after the clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash.
According to Winder Police Department public information officer Det. Sgt. Rachel Love, investigators are currently in the process of reviewing surveillance footage from the hotel and surrounding area.
