The Barrow Journal won four state-wide awards for excellence in advertising from the Georgia Press Association’s newspaper advertising contest last week.
The Journal won first place for “Best Food Ad” for its McDonald’s series, second place for “Best Health Ad” for the Allergy and Asthma Care Center and swept the “Best Newspaper Promotion” category by winning both first and second place.
“We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts on behalf of our customers,” said Susan Treadwell, advertising manager for the Journal. “Our philosophy is to help our advertisers generate business, not just to sell them an ad."
