It is one thing to go door to door and ask questions as to his whereabouts, but to go to the doors and draw guns on innocent people is definitely gross negligence and abuse of authority. The Winder Police Department and the Barrow County Sheriff's Office want to throw blame back and forth, but the fact of the matter is this: They were both present and violated these people’s 4th Amendment rights!
When an officer graduates from the Police Academy, they take an oath to uphold the laws and bi-laws of the Constitution of the United States. Therefore, all officers, deputies and investigators present should be held accountable for violating the oath that they swore to uphold.
It is up to the citizens, to vote for the Sheriff of Barrow County, Winder Police Department, and Auburn Police Department, etc. We as citizens need to rally together and demand answers from those elected and entrusted with our safety. I am asking all citizens to citizensofbarrowcoforchange@gmail.com, to rally together and demand the answers to our questions regarding these two incidents, and to demand that a formal written policy be put into force within our sheriff's office, as well as, our city police departments.
Let's all rally together and finally see justice prevail - the proper way!
Sincerely,
Sherrilynn Lee
