Statham police make two arrests

The Statham Police Department reported two arrests last week.

Cory Nathan Childers, 25, of 1725 Granite Lane in Statham was charged with family violence battery, family violence false imprisonment and family violence third degree cruelty to children after an April 6 domestic dispute.

Bridget Lynn Stamey, 35, of 10 Candlewood Terrace in Winder was arrested for entering auto on April 9 after an incident on Atlanta Highway.

Statham police also investigated two incidents last week.

On April 4, prescription medication was reported stolen from a Dooleytown Road residence.

On April 8, police responded to Railroad Street regarding a report of criminal trespass.

For the week, Statham officers issued five traffic citations and three warnings.
