Hunting expedition ends in arrest
An Auburn man was arrested after he and his hunting partner wandered into the wrong back yard.
A deputy was dispatched to an Old Hog Mountain Road residence after the homeowner called and said he had two people at gunpoint. The homeowner said he caught the two males prowling around his sheds in the backyard with dogs, a rifle and flashlights.
After interviewing the two men, the deputy determined that the males had been hunting. They were attempting to corral their dogs when the homeowner spotted them.
One of the males, Christopher Michael Perry, 17, of 981 Old Hog Mountain Road in Auburn, had three outstanding warrants for contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Perry was subsequently placed under arrest. While searching Perry, the deputy discovered a glass pipe and a plastic baggie containing less than an ounce of marijuana in Perry’s pocket.
The other male was released from the scene along with the rifle and the dogs.
