Barrow Democrats to meet April 12

Candidate for Georgia Governor, DuBose Porter, will speak at the Barrow County Democratic Party meeting on Monday, April 12. Porter will discuss his campaign and will be available for a question and answer period after his presentation.

Porter is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 143rd district since being elected in 1982. He is currently minority leader in the House. He also served as the administration floor leader for Governor Zell Miller from 1991 to 1992.

The meeting will be held at the Golden Corral on May Street in Winder. The meeting begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event.

I would come, but Golden Corral isn't really my kind of food. Couldn't they meet at one of the two barbecue places in town? Barbecue is the Rosetta Stone of food.
