Dale Sanders Apalachee Wildcat 5K Run ahead
The Eighth Annual Dale Sanders Apalachee Wildcat 5K Run will take place Friday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at Apalachee High School and benefits the AHS cheerleaders.
The race begins at the high school and the course will navigate through Avalon Village, following Haymon-Morris to the Tom Miller Road intersection, straight across into Berkshire Place, through Berkshire Place, back towards AHS, behind the elementary and middle school and finish at AHS.
Registration fees are $20 and participants may register on race day. For students and people 18 years and under, the cost is $10. Checks may be made payable to AHS CheerCats Booster Club and race day registration begins at 5 p.m.
Awards will be given to the best overall male and female, masters male and female and top two male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 and up. All fun run participants will receive ribbons.
