NEW BUSINESS IN CARL
A business license was approved for Worn Soul Entertainment, for a new venue called Doc McGee’s offering an assortment of services unlike any other in Carl. It’s a live concert venue boasting of phenomenal stage recording and video capabilities.
Doc McGee’s also offers music lessons and a music school above the stage area will be opening soon.
The business hopes to book two national acts a month and the remainder of the time will be open for local acts.
One Carl resident expressed concern that the business is not suitable for a town like Carl and the question of noise issues also arose.
Council member Truman Phillips and Mayor David Brock visited the venue and both said that noise heard from outside the building was not excessive and no reason to deny the business license. As far as locating their business in Carl, representatives said that they find the location ideal because there’s currently nothing else like it in the small town. The venue is located at 14 Carl Cedar Hill Road.
