A Lawrenceville woman was arrested after arriving at Auburn Municipal Court intoxicated.
The arresting officer was sitting in the courtroom when he noticed that Denise Yvonne Spence, 51, of 2705 Still Farms Court in Lawrenceville, smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages.
After Spence fell asleep several times, the officer decided to administer a breath alcohol test. While waiting for the machine to warm up, Spence became irate and began using profanity.
According to the report, Spence demanded to use the restroom and was argumentative.
The breath alcohol test indicated Spence had a blood alcohol concentration of .208.
She was charged with public intoxication and transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
