HOSCHTON - Thad P. Pirkle, Sr., 89, died Thursday, March 11, 2010.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Russ and Ada Usry Pirkle. Mr. Pirkle was a retired farmer and member of the Hoschton First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elna Roberts Pirkle.
Survivors include children, Thad Pirkle, Jr., Covington, and Robbie Pirkle Thomas, Florida; brothers, Quinten Pirkle, Atlanta, and Josh Pirkle, Hoschton.
A graveside service was held Saturday, March 13, at the Hoschton Cemetery, with the Rev. Luis Ortiz officiating.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
