Lincoln pictured on $100 bill
A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Loganville Highway Publix after a store employee discovered a counterfeit $100 bill in the cash drawer.
The cashier said a black female between the ages of 45 and 50 used the $100 to purchase $12.84 worth of merchandise. When the cashier turned over her cash drawer at the end of her shift, a supervisor noticed that the $100 bill had a picture of Abraham Lincoln instead of Benjamin Franklin visible on the right side of the bill. The security strip indicated the bill was a $5 bill.
The transaction was the only one of the day in which a customer used a $100 bill. The incident was captured on surveillance video and a copy was provided to the deputy.
The suspect is described as a black female approximately 5’ tall. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black leather jacket.
