The 14th session of the Winder Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy will begin Mar. 18.
The twelve week program is designed to familiarize community members with the daily operations of the department and to teach participant how they can help prevent crime in partnership with the police department. Each class will provide participants with the opportunity to ask questions and take part in hands-on activities.
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Winder Police Department. Participants must be at least eighteen years of age. The academy is limited to thirty five participants.
