HOSCHTON - Lillie Mae Hayes, 94, died Friday, February 19, 2010.
A native of Hall County, she had resided in Jackson County for most of her life and was the daughter of the late Dave and Evalena Kidd Self. She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Hayes; and children, Sara Watkins, Charlie Hayes, Kenneth Hayes, and Lamar Hayes.
Survivors include children, Bill Hayes and James Hayes, both of Hoschton; 17 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann Hayes, Gainesville.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 22, from Center United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Hayes, Edward Hayes, Jr. and Betty Jean Hamby officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
