Family seeks help locating missing woman

The family of a missing Athens woman is asking for help in locating a mentally ill family member.

Patricia Danielle Scott, 22, was last seen on Friday, Feb. 12 as she left the Country Corners subdivision on Hwy. 29. Security cameras captured the woman leaving the area on foot. She was wearing a long jacket, dark pants and boots.

Scott had recently moved to the area from Barrow County.

According to a statement issued by the family, Scott is believed to be schizophrenic. She reportedly suffers from blackouts in which she appears to function normally but then awakes with no recollection of previous events.

Scott is 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities.
